Kevin Montgomery Tucson, AZ (December 30^th, 2009) -Fresh off a successful 2009 championship campaign that backed up a 2008 feat, Mike Spencer will set his sights on the first Sprint Car victory of 2010 as he travels to Tucson's USA Raceway to take part in the 6^th Annual Roger McCluskey Classic.

Spencer, a two time USAC/CRA Champion will be wheeling the Racing Associates Shaver powered Maxim as a teammate to Mike Martin.  According to the vast knowledge of Kevin Eckert's www.openwheeltimes.com, Spencer will make his rookie debut in the traditional New Year's race.  Although this will mark his first start in the RMC, he is not a stranger to USA Raceway and surely no stranger to the cockpit.

Spencer wrapped the 2009 season with victories at the Louie Vermeil Classic and the Jack Kindoll Classic earning him the obvious title of the "King of the Classics".  He continued his success earning a runner spot in the Oval Nationals and a top five in the Glenn Howard Memorial, the final race of the year at Don Kazarian's Perris Auto Speedway. 

The Roger McCluskey Classic which takes place the first weekend of the New Year enters its 6^th year and has grown into a must see event.  Top traditional sprint car drivers will tackle USA Raceway's 3/8-mile clay oval for two days on January 2^nd and 3^rd as they look to capture the inaugural 2010 victory and add their name to past champions that include Josh Pelkey, Jesse Hockett, Jerry Coons Jr., and Johnny Herrera.

While top sprint car drivers will be competing for $2k on the preliminary night and a $3k on the championship night, both X-Mods and Modlites will join the field for an unprecedented $1k winners share of the event.  All three divisions will compete in full shows for both days and the champions will be crowned on Sunday evening.
