SWDRA Late Models Invade USA Raceway

Tucson, Arizona (March 3^rd, 2009) – The thunder of Late Models and the stars of the Southwest Dirt Racing Association fire up for the first time in 2009 this Saturday night as the series takes to USA Raceway’s fast 3/8 mile clay oval.

Lonnie Parker Jr. will set out to defend his 2008 crown and keep his winning streak alive.  Parker, looking for his 6^th consecutive championship, will have to step up his game as the competition heats up. 

Terry Belcher Jr., making his SWDRA Late Model Debut, will be at the wheel of the Mike Tahtinen owned GRT and will have his sites on Parker Jr.  From the Modified ranks, Belcher will make the transition to the high powered late model division and join ranks with Mark Fowler, Brad Williams and the rest of the SWDRA hot shoes and try to dethrone Parker Jr.

“I know I will have good cars to race with and I look forward to the added competition” commented Parker Jr.  “This is what makes racing fun and I am excited for the challenge.”

Just to spice things up, Bruce Duckett from Duckett Management & REALESTATE has offered a $200 bonus and is inviting all Arizona Crate Late Models to the first race of the year.

The high powered Late Models will open their 2009 season along with Factory Stocks, Dwarf Cars and Modlites.  General admission tickets will go on sale at 5pm for only $12, racing will begin promptly at 7pm.

Season Passes are on sale for only $199 and $149 for Seniors, Students and Military.  Suite Access Passes which allow race fans the opportunity to enjoy the races from USA Raceway’s VIP Suite are also on sale for only $349.
