Results From Wild West Sprint Cars at Arizona Speedway 11/5/11
Sprint Cars at Arizona Speedway Heated up an otherwise Chilly night with three wide action in the Wild West Main Event. Charles Davis bested the field of Eighteen Entries in the Massey RSS Industries Rouch Yates Sprinter. After Stevie Sussex retired his #1 Fiberstar sponsored entry with engine problems, Nick Aiuto took the front spot in the AFR Racing father/ son team’s Advanced Engine powered car. Davis would battle with Aiuto for a few laps before lapped traffic would lend a high side pass by Davis’ RSS for the lead with only three laps remaining. Josh Pelkey would cross the line in the third spot in the ABC owned RSS/ Advanced Engine entry. The track was wide and fast all night and gave the fans a great show. Mike Colegrove followed up the 4th spot with Jody Wirth making his best finish yet at Arizona Speedway to round out the top five. It’s notable that RSS Industries Chassis and advanced Engine Supply had a good presentation among the top contenders. RSS Chassis finished first and third, while Advanced Engines built by Paul Kinney crossed the line second and third.
The cold kept some of the fans home for this weekends Wild West Show, but those that stayed were rewarded with the best Main Event sprint car action at Arizona Speedway yet. The Wild West Sprint Cars will return to Arizona Speedway December 3rd.
