
TRACK and TRAVEL INFORMATION
· All areas of the race rack are secured by 7000 ft. of 6 ft. chain link fencing. There will be 24 hour security.
· Arrangements have been made with authorities for easy entrance into Mexico and on to the track.
· There will be hourly escorts from the border to Rocky Point.
· The meeting area will be at the gas station just before entering the border checkpoint.
· Anyone not having a passport will need to bring a birth certificate and picture I.D.
· Weapons and ammo are not permitted in Mexico. Storage is available at Why Not Travel Store in Why, AZ.
· Bring your own fuel. This has been approved by customs for this event. Include it on your manifest.
· Manifest - Print and complete the top portion of the manifest. Enter your departure date where indicated and sign at the bottom. On page 2, some items are already listed for you. Just fill in the amount. Write in additional items. If not sure of amount, estimate higher. If more than one vehicle has equipment, carry a completed copy in the other vehicle(s) also. If you re-arrange your packing at the last minute it will still be covered. Make a copy for yourself.
· Vehicle Sticker - A special vehicle sticker will be issued for this event providing easy access through border.
· Emergency staff as well as trauma doctors will be present during races. A modern trauma center is located one (1) mile from the track with airvac capabilities to the United States if needed.
· Medical Insurance is provided by Thunder On The Beach Raceway.
· Mexican Vehicle insurance is required. Check our website for insurance company that can pre-arrange the required insurance. You can also call The Why Not Travel Store at 520-387-6091, Fax: 520-381-6091.
· Hotel/resort rooms are readily available at affordable prices, or you can dry camp on the beach next to the track for $5.00 a night, or with hookups for $30.00 a night, or stay in pits.
· There are numerous activities planned within one mile of the track. The "Wrecked At The Reef" cantina, is located next to the track on the ocean. They are hosting a party for drivers, crewmembers, their families and VIPS on Saturday night. Races are day shows.
· The Palooza 2011 Music Festival will be held on Saturday night. See their website for featured band(s).
· Pits will be available on Friday, October 14th at noon.
· Gates open at 11:00 a.m. Saturday and Sunday. Racing starts at 1:00 p.m.
· Five (5) one-week vacations at a luxury resort in Rocky Point will be awarded (by draw) to five (5) drivers per division for a total of twenty (20) vacations.
· Complete Driver Payouts are posted on this site, www.abcmotorsports.com and www.whowon.com.
· The beaches are beautiful, with lots of aquatic activities for all ages. Don't be the one saying "I'm sorry I missed this event!'
