Tucson, AZ (July 12th, 2009) - RC Whitwell grabbed The Barnett Harley Davidson UMP West Modified feature as he held off a very fast Robert Adams and Captured the Napa Auto Parts Car Load Special.
 
Whitwell took advantage of a sixth place starting position taking the lead early in the 25 lap feature.  Adams kept the pressure on as the two raced lap after lap with Whitwell crossing the line first.
 
Daniel Hutto, Cody Alvarez and Adam Crippen rounded out the top five with Hutto and Crippen both driving from the rear of the field to make it into the top five.
 
Factory Stock point leader Dusty Gauthier fought it out in the 20 lap slug fest with Terry Churchwell.  Gauthier and Churchwell battled lap after lap with Gauthier capturing the victory lane hardware and extending his points lead.
 
John Priest captured victory honors in the AMA Modlites.  Priest bested a top notch field as he captured his second straight victory at USA Raceway.  Priest crossed the line ahead of Travis Meulebroeck and David Hokanson.
 
Aaron Jones topped the podium in Desert Dwarf car action as he drove from his 11th starting position to capture the win.  Jones passed 10 cars on his way and was joined in victory lane by second place Sandy Matthews and third place Chad Stewart.
 
Duane Jones and Shaun Haley came out on top in Hornet action.  Jones took honors in the rear wheel division while Haley captured the front wheel drive victory. 
 
Bucky Andrews drove his Desert Mafia Late Model to the front and ended a dry spell by winning the Environmental Development Group Arizona Late Model Feature.
