Tucson, Arizona (April 22nd, 2009) - Taco
Bell's Mr. Taco avoided April showers as the rain came down and washed out the
Easter Eggstravaganza. UMP West Modifieds will return for the Taco Bell
Stimulus Package this Saturday night at Tucson's USA Raceway.
RC Whitwell, fresh off a runner up finish at Hollywood Hills Speedway, is
counting on his share of the stimulus after falling short of the $1000 price
in his last outing. Christie Georges, looking to defeat Whitwell, will be
very motivated as the super competitive field of UMP West Modifieds returns to
Tucson.
The Taco Bell duo of Ricky Thornton Jr. and Kenny Hawkins will be among the
best Modified drivers in the west all wanting a glimpse of victory lane. With
more than 30 cars on hand only 24 of them will be eligible for the top prize
and they will all be gunning for the contenders.
Also up for grabs will be plenty of prizes as Mr. Taco will be on hand with
Taco Bell gift bags, balloons and other prizes for all the kids. The Dash for
Cash will be among several fun activities planned for the evening.
The UMP Modified Race of Champions returns along with Super Stocks, Factory
Stocks and Hornets. General admission tickets will go on sale at 5pm for only
$10, racing will begin promptly at 7pm.
Season Passes are on sale for only $199 and $149 for Seniors, Students and
Military. Suite Access Passes which allow race fans the opportunity to enjoy
the races from USA Raceway's VIP Suite are also on sale for only $349.
USA Raceway, Arizona's premier short track, is located east of Tucson off I-10
