Friday November 18th - The Kronik Energy Drinks Qualifying Night

 

Friday night, Lucas Oil ASCS National defending champion, Jason Johnson will join a very potent Kyle Larson along with Joey Saldana and Jeff Swindell who will all be in search of their first Western World title.

 

National USAC Sprint Car Champion, Levi Jones, and USAC/CRA Champion Mike Spencer will join a host of top ASCS regulars for a shot at the Wingless Western World crown.

Additional Kronik Energy Western World Information:

 

What:  44th Annual Kronik Energy Drinks Western World Championships

 

Where:  USA Raceway -3/8-mile clay oval in Tucson, Arizona

 

When:  Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 17th-19th, 2011.  $15,000 to win the Lucas Oil ASCS Sprint Cars Series (Wing)/$5,000 to win ASCS Canyon Refgion Sprint Cars (Non Wing) Finale on November 19th.  Race time is 7pm each day with gates opening at 3pm.  Test 'N Tune session on Wednesday November 16th from 6-9pm.

 

Parking: RV parking will be available Monday November 15th.  Pit Parking will begin Monday November 15th at 8am.

Fargo North Dakota's Donny Schatz became the 28th different winner of the Western World by topping the 2010 edition of the event last November marking his second triumph while Oklahoma's Brady Bacon made it back to back Western World titles by winning the wingless portion of the event for the second year in a row.


Steve Kinser has claimed the most Western World titles with seven triumphs including wingless wins in 1982 and 1983 followed by winged wins in 1985, 1987, 1990, 1992 and 1996.

Ron Shuman is next on the list with five Western World triumphs, all of the wingless variety, with other drivers posting multiple Western World wins including Lealand McSpadden (3), Sammy Swindell (3), Bud Kaeding (2), Mark Kinser (2) and Jan Opperman (2).
